Job summary

Consumer Product Testing Company, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor with a minimum of 4 years of experience in testing products and raw materials for the pharmaceutical, nutritional, cosmetic, and allied industries.

The role requires GMP-regulated lab work, protocol development, and the ability to interpret client requirements and testing documentation in a fast-paced environment. This full-time on-site position is based in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science required.
• Master's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of chemicals/pharmaceuticals testing experience in a GMP laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the Analytical laboratory, including planning and scheduling personnel and project activities.
• Provide technical problem solving and coordinate lab supplies; liaise with Chief Chemist on chemistry/technical issues.
• Maintain client contact and project planning; provide status updates and notify of deviations or non-conformances.
• Ensure proper lab maintenance, calibration, qualification, and performance verification per SOPs.
• Train chemists/technicians and cross-train staff for department flexibility.
• Conduct or oversee peer review of departmental testing and ensure testing adheres to GMP/GLP and regulatory requirements.
