THE UNITED ILLUMINATING COMPANY, part of Avangrid, seeks a Lead Analyst to drive SAP IS-U/CCS-based solutions and oversee complex utility-related projects. You will coordinate across Billing, Front Office, and Device Management, delivering documentation, testing, and implementation support.

The role requires deep SDLC knowledge, strong leadership, and excellent communication to align IT with business needs across CT/MA regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 5–7 years’ experience; or Associate’s with 8–10; HS/GED with 10–15 years of advanced experience.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP IS-U/CCS and SDLC, plus collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Applies SAP IS-U/CCS integration knowledge to design, configure, and test production resolutions and enhancements.
• Leads technical projects in Billing, Front Office, FICA, Retail Access, and Device Management.
• Develops requirements, designs, test plans, and implementation tasks with cost and resource estimates.
• Provides leadership guidance to Back Office and related business areas and supports audits and regulatory needs.

Collaborates with business organizations, vendors, and IT Leads including: Customer Service, GIS & Business Warehouse, Electric & Gas Operations, Web/Portal Applications, Compliancy & Security, Networking, Infrastructure DBA, and Production Control.* Leads the development of technical projects in the areas of: Billing and Invoicing, Front Office, Financial and Contract Accounting (FICA), Retail Access, and Device Management. Such projects relate to functionality enhancements in the areas of: Customer Relationship & Billing Systems (i.e. Smart Care), Advanced Meter Infrastructure Systems, Siemens/OMS Systems, Customer Rate Cases, ESCO, Regulatory Orders, Accelerated Web enhancements, and IVR Upgrades. This effort includes analysis, project schedule, requirements /design documentation, test plans, testing, test results documentation, implementation, and post implementation support tasks of a project. Including cost and resource estimates for major projects, along with complex calculations for the selection and evaluation of in-house technical solutions and external vendors.* Utilizes extensive business and technical expertise across the CT/MA in the prioritization, analysis, innovative solution determination, testing, and efficient deployment of AVANGRID Networks application resolutions.
