Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas seeks a senior analog/mixed-signal IC design engineer to own the Class D power output path from architecture to silicon bring‑up. You’ll implement H‑bridge/BTL configurations, gate drivers, dead‑time control, and protection circuits for automotive and consumer audio products.

Design transistor‑level schematics in Cadence Virtuoso, validate across PVT with SPICE, and collaborate with systems, layout and applications teams to meet THD+N, SNR and EMI targets.

Qualifications

  • MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5–10+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.
  • Experience designing power output stages: gate drivers, H-bridge or BTL output configurations, dead‑time control, and overcurrent/thermal protection.
  • Strong understanding of high‑voltage switching behavior, GaN/MOSFET/LDMOS device physics, and parasitic-aware design techniques.
  • Experience with EMI mitigation in switching amplifiers.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design Class D power stages: H-bridge/BTL configurations, gate drivers, dead-time.
  • Design high‑voltage switching circuits with focus on efficiency and EMI.
  • Create transistor-level schematics in Cadence Virtuoso; verify with SPICE across PVT.
  • Collaborate with systems, layout and applications engineers to meet audio specs.
  • Analyze design issues from prototype to production, including EMI/EMC and LC filter optimization.
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews, establish schematic quality standards.
