Job summary

Texas Instruments in Dallas seeks an engineer to own automotive Class-D audio amplifier issues and drive opportunities for Auto external amplifiers, head units, telematics, E-call and AVAS. You will help customers design TI audio amplifiers into products, review schematics, and debug systems across on-site and remote settings, collaborating with global teams to ensure successful production launches.

The role requires a BS in EE/CE or related field and 2+ years of engineering experience, with

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree.
2+ years related engineering experience including taking ownership to resolve customer issues.
Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide on-site support when required.

Responsibilities

Own automotive Class-D audio amplifier technical issue resolution and drive opportunity DWINs for Auto external amplifier, Head Unit, Telematics, E-call & AVAS.
Support customers in integrating TI audio amplifiers into end products via email, forum, calls, and on-site visits; review schematics and layouts; reproduce customer behavior for debugging.
Collaborate with design, firmware, validation, test, system, marketing, sales, and applications teams across global sites to ensure smooth project execution to production and train FAEs.
Provide system-level solutions addressing basic function, reliability and cost-effective implementations.
Build prototypes for new features from customer systems, design key parameters and interface pins, and define value propositions.
Assist with customer returns to reproduce issues and collaborate with field quality, design and sustaining teams to improve FA coverage.
Design customer evaluation modules (EVMs), evaluate performance, specify GUI tools for EVMs, and drive EVMs and software to production release.
Use lab equipment to measure audio performance, power consumption and other parameters, and present data clearly to customers and TI personnel.
Create technical documents such as design guides, application notes, TI Designs, blogs and models to aid customers in selecting and debugging products.
