Job summary

Elevate Semiconductor in San Diego seeks a Principal Analog Design Engineer to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in architecture and circuit design for next-generation ATE instrumentation. The role requires deep expertise in high-voltage analog, precision references, and mixed-signal ICs, with responsibilities across layout, test, and production.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 20+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience with advanced degree.
  • Proven track record of silicon and analog ASIC leadership from architecture to verification.
  • Deep expertise in high-voltage, precision analog, and mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and hands-on design of advanced ATE instrumentation ICs, including high-voltage analog and precision references.
  • Own designs from concept and modeling through tapeout, validation, and production release.
  • Design and guide development of DACs, high-current output drivers, high-speed transmitters/receivers, and instrumentation amplifiers.
  • Develop high-performance solutions optimized for noise, linearity, power and silicon area.
  • Apply digitally assisted analog techniques and develop behavioral/system models using Octave and Verilog-A.
  • Collaborate with layout, digital/VLSI, packaging, test, product, and operations teams to drive silicon readiness.
  • Mentor analog designers and lead design reviews to solve complex problems.
  • Drive design methodologies and best practices across multiple projects to improve execution and quality.
