Job summary

Rapid Line Industries, Inc. is seeking a Lead Press Brake Setup Technician & Trainer for 1st shift in Wyoming, MI. You will anchor the department, set up complex tooling, and mentor operators to uphold high standards of safety and quality.

You’ll program and optimize Amada CNC press brakes, lead daily workflows, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong blueprint interpretation and teamwork across engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience setting up and operating press brakes independently.
• Strong knowledge of press brake tooling, forming techniques, and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience programming or adjusting CNC press brake programs and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and cross-department collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Master the setup: Independently set up, adjust, and verify tooling for Amada press brakes.
• Program and optimize: Write or adjust CNC press brake programs to maximize efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Lead and train: Guide daily workflow and mentor operators on setup procedures and safety.
• Drive production and quality: Perform first-piece inspections and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to refine processes and improve setup efficiency.
• Standardize documentation: Help develop setup instructions and tooling standards.
