Role Overview

The Lead Algorithm / Data Architect, Artificial Intelligence – (Remote Position) at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for executing an established visionary direction and serving as both a leader and technical expert, capable of growing into the lead of our Hematology Program. This pivotal role involves executing the overall vision and strategy for cell classification algorithms, encompassing algorithm design and architecture, data processing, feature engineering, and deployment of inference containers. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of visionary leadership and deep technical expertise, driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions within the program.

Location & Team

This position is part of the Hematology (HEM) and Urine Analysis (UA) Programs located in Miami, FL, USA, and will be fully remote. You will be part of the HEM / UA Algorithms Team and report to the Director for Data Science and AI responsible for all algorithms development for both programs. Key Responsibilities

5. Apply technical expertise in C / C# / C++, Python, Shell Scripting, Linux OS, Machine Learning, and image processing applications.

Minimum Requirements

1. Master’s degree in electrical, computer, or biomedical engineering.
2. 5+ years of experience in Python for Machine Learning and Computer Vision, developing in C / C++ for Windows and/or Linux, using frameworks like TensorFlow and Tensor RT.
3. Proven technical leader with strong business acumen and engineering expertise, capable of working and communicating across all levels, including executives.
4. Ability to manage complexity, critical situations, and stress, with a focus on delivering results.
5. Experience working cross-functionally and cross-culturally, both as a team member and leader.

Preferred Experience

1. Classical image and signal processing techniques.
2. Medical device data and imaging procedures.
3. Experience with Hematology and Urine Analysis devices.
