Job summary

gpac is partnering with a well-established security and life safety systems contractor to hire a Lead Alarm Technician in Michigan. The role focuses on installing, testing, and maintaining alarm systems in residential and commercial settings, with travel to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of field experience, knowledge of NFPA/UL standards, and strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience installing and servicing alarm and security systems.
• Knowledge of alarm system components, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with NFPA and UL codes.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain alarm and security systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions and perform routine maintenance; complete accurate service documentation and reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.
