Job summary

Elite Line Services in Phoenix is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges. This role trains and mentors junior staff and may act as lead in the absence of senior technicians.

You will read repair manuals and schematics, work in tight spaces with PPE, follow safety trainings, and comply with company policies.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED.
Minimum 3 years of mechanical or electrical experience.
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
Preferred: airport environment, conveyors or passenger boarding bridges experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in an industrial environment.
Familiarity with PLC logic and electrical controls optional.

Responsibilities

Completes basic maintenance assignments including preventive, routine and emergency maintenance; may clear jams and perform inspections.
Monitors system operation, diagnoses equipment failures and ensures safe operation.
Provides direction and mentoring to other personnel; may act as lead in absence of senior staff.
Reads repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor/manager instructions.
Works in tight/high spaces with PPE and fall protection.
Follows company policies and completes required training.
Completes forms for work assignments and performs additional duties as required.
Supports with basic maintenance tasks like cleaning and greasing.
Ensures compliance with ELS safety programs.
