Responsible for performing the duties of a lead in various airfield and landside maintenance areas. Oversight over multiple disciplines throughout the airport. Other duties include snow removal and operating heavy equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Monitors job duties of Airfield Maintenance employees to ensure work is done promptly, evaluates and writes employee performance reviews, and assists with new hire processes.
- Responsible for developing, delivering, and maintaining department training programs that ensure airfield maintenance employees are knowledgeable, skilled, and compliant with all applicable safety regulations, standard operational procedures (SOPs), and other organizational requirements as directed by the management team.
- Oversees and participates in work of subordinates in the various assigned areas.
- Schedules and assigns work orders to subordinates through computerized maintenance management system. Reviews work order entries of subordinates for accuracy and completeness of documentation before closing them.
- Works with leadership team on identifying and requesting parts, equipment, materials and services that are needed for completing work.
- Advises and assists subordinates with difficult maintenance and repair problems.
- Schedules, inspects, and evaluates the work of subordinates.
- Assures proper safety equipment is used and training developed and delivered to ensure safety and efficiency in the department.
- Works with Operations team to issue NOTAMS and proper notifications to tenants for departmental work that is ongoing.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Commercial Driver’s License - Class A or B
- Obtain/maintain position appropriate NIMS & emergency training.
Preferred
- Basic and Advanced ASOS
- Certification from International Aviation Snow Academy
- Operations Management Certificate
Additional Security Levels Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain position appropriate Federal security clearance
Airfield Driving
This position requires driving on the airfield and airfield ramps.
DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF

- OSHA and FAA regulations.

- Maintaining a variety of maintenance records.
- Safely lifting/pulling loads to work areas.

- Pavement repairs, maintenance, and pavement markings/Part 139 markings
- Landscaping and horticultural practices.
