Job summary

V2X is seeking a Lead Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft, engines, and mission equipment in a governed environment. The role requires an FAA A&P with IA, seven years of as Lead Mechanic experience, and eligibility for DOJ security clearance.

Work is conducted in an aircraft hangar setting with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and performance reliability. This position pays hourly and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; two-year technical trade school, military experience, or equivalent on-the-job training is required.
• Must hold a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate with Inspection Authorization (IA).
• Must have seven years of hands-on experience as a Lead Mechanic.
• Experience shall be in a similar position within the last twelve months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required DOJ Security Clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, commercial aviation industry safety standards, FBI guidelines and policies, and applicable data and procedures.
• Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair on the aircraft, engines, propellers, and mission equipment.
• Perform inspections such as conditional, annual, phase and special inspections as required.
• Manage maintenance workflow and coordinate with team members for tooling, parts and safety compliance.
