Job summary

RECARO Aircraft Seating Americas LLC is seeking a Supervising Leader for Prototype and Test Seat Build teams in Fort Worth. You will oversee prototype builds, development of test seats, and certifications, coordinating with multiple internal groups to ensure schedules meet program needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Degree + 4 years’ aircraft seat assembly or 8+ years with no degree; knowledge of seat assembly process.
• Strong organizational, proactive, and deadline-driven work style; leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, facilitate meetings, and solve problems with root-cause analysis.
• Experience with Lean methodologies; reading blueprints and BOMs; knowledge of aviation regs.
• Experience using SAP and Teamcenter is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise internal prototype builds, developmental test seats and Certification test seats.
• Coordinate between Platform Engineering, Testing, PM, Quality, Logistics, Planning and Purchasing; align a build schedule.
• Elevate issues impacting daily performance to Stress/Simulation and HOV Seat Build Manager.
• Motivate and lead the team to meet company goals.
• EnsurePrototype equipment is maintained and operated safely.
• Ensure equipment is updated and calibrated per quality standards.
• Train technicians on equipment usage in Prototyping and Test Seat Build.
• Train technicians on deviation lists and ballasting per engineering instructions.
• Create procedures for Prototype and Test Seat Build departments.
• Review and maintain daily attendance reports.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized workplace; conduct housekeeping audits.
• Support and maintain 5S initiatives.
• Conduct performance evaluations for Prototype and Test seat build technicians.
