Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa (or Long Beach) is seeking a Staff Power Systems Engineer to own vehicle level electrical power analyses and architecture, ensuring aircraft meet mission and flight requirements.

You will lead analyses such as Electrical Loads Analysis, battery sizing, and SWaP trade studies, drive the power architecture roadmap for the Fury platform, and ensure MIL-STD-464/461/810/1760 compliance while collaborating with Systems, Avionics, and Hardware teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle- or aircraft-level electrical power distribution systems
• Experience leading Electrical Loads Analysis (ELA), battery sizing, and power budget calculations
• Proficiency with electrical simulation/modeling tools (LTspice, SIMPLIS, Multi-Spice)
• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1760
• US work authorization and eligibility for DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Own vehicle system-level electrical power analyses including ELA, battery sizing, short-circuit and bus integrity
• Shape electrical architecture trade studies and the power roadmap for Fury platform and future variants
• Develop integration-level test plans, verification procedures, and validation criteria for power distribution systems
• Ensure designs comply with MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1760
• Perform SWaP trade studies and FMEA to optimize performance and reliability
• Collaborate with Systems, Avionics, Flight Test, and Hardware teams to resolve integration challenges
• Support ground and flight test campaigns by reviewing power telemetry and confirming flight readiness
