Job summary

PHI Health in Troy, MI is seeking an experienced Managing Lead Mechanic. This role requires an FAA A&P certificate and at least 2 years as a certified mechanic, with strong attention to airframe and powerplant systems.

You will lead field maintenance teams, manage stock, and ensure FAA-compliant records for our helicopter fleet. The position may involve night shifts, travel between bases, and routine use of RAMCO for work packages and logs.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold an FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience as a certified mechanic.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use computer systems.
• Willingness to travel and work night shifts when required.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate maintenance/inspection requirements to maintain airworthiness.
• Notify Lead Mechanic of unusual situations affecting schedule or aircraft changes.
• Maintain aircraft at field bases and manage stock levels for repairs.
• Prepare reports and certify work in aircraft logs to FAA and PHI Health standards.
• Maintain RAMCO entries and coordinate with AMBS and others for timely completion.
