Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks a Senior Mass Properties Engineer to lead analyses, weight control activities, and reporting for major aircraft modifications in Greenville, TX. You will calculate weights, arms, and inertia from drawings and CAD models, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across multiple contracts.

Requires a engineering degree with 9+ years’ experience (or graduate degree with 7+ years, or 13+ years without a degree).

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mass properties and weight & balance for modification programs.
Experience leading complex technical tasks with minimal oversight and mentoring others.
Proficiency with CAD models and engineering drawings for mass properties analysis.
Ability to travel to the flight line and work in hangar environments.
DoD Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

Lead mass properties analyses and weight control for major aircraft modifications.
Calculate component weights, moment arms, and mass moments of inertia from drawings and data.
Evaluate weight and balance impacts and develop mass distributions for loads.
Establish weight control plans, target allocations, and status reporting.
Prepare weight charts, inventories, and engineering reports documenting results.
Coordinate mass properties tasks across contracts with design, loads, and certification teams.
