Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Gulfstream Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, TN. This on-site role leads a team of technicians to deliver high-quality results, with emphasis on problem solving, safe operations, and efficient project flow.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an FAA A&P license, and 8+ years in aviation maintenance. The position entails supervising multiple projects and coordinating with customers under FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
• 8+ years in aviation maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years in program specific airframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgement.
• Implement a strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Reduce turn time of aircraft within your area of responsibility.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to your projects.
• Supervise team members in daily work load and projects.
• Perform general mechanical functions on aircraft and related systems.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft when designated.
• Inspect and evaluate the aircraft and components as designated.
• Coordinate projects and communicate with customers as needed.
• Direct the work and flow of multiple projects.
