Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Gulfstream Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Large Cabin) in Chattanooga, TN.

The role focuses on leading a team of technicians to deliver high-quality, timely maintenance; strong problem solving and communication skills are essential to manage multiple projects and ensure FAA-compliant work. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license, with 8+ years in aviation maintenance and 4+ years in program-specific airframes.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent and Airframe and Powerplant License are required.
• A valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete the necessary jobs/tasks with sound judgment.
• Implement strong turnover of work to the next shift and maintain flow.
• Train/mentor technicians assigned to your projects and supervise daily workload.
• Lead multiple projects independently; ensure scheduling and work quality.
• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems; include removal/install of panels and repair work.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate systems on the aircraft; inspect aircraft and components as designated.
