Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Shop Supervisor to lead maintenance for all company flying assets in Mojave, CA. The role reports to the Ground Operations Manager and oversees safe, compliant maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

The supervisor will develop people, coordinate resources, and drive aircraft readiness, with a focus on accurate records, risk management, and timely return-to-service.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• 5+ years leading aviation maintenance teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong hands-on aircraft inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and return-to-service experience.
• FAA IA preferred.
• Knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 91 and maintenance records.
• Experience supervising concurrent scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across multiple aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance across all company flying assets; set priorities and ensure safe, timely execution.
• Translate flight-test schedules into maintenance plans covering staffing, tooling, parts, facilities, and risk.
• Supervise inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and alterations using approved data.
• Coordinate aircraft readiness with Maintenance Control, Flight Ops, pilots, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Supply Chain, Facilities, and EH&S.
• Ensure logbooks, discrepancy corrections, configuration records, and parts traceability are complete.
