Job summary

Stratolaunch, LLC in Mojave, CA is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance and Systems Technician to fabricate, install, maintain and troubleshoot carrier aircraft systems. This role supports rapid aerospace R&D and may shift to new projects as the program expands.

Responsibilities include working on fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine, and airframe systems; performing line maintenance; and ensuring proper MDL entries. A DoD clearance is preferred; relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance.
• Experience with line maintenance functions: preflight, post flight, launch and recovery.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Physically capable of handling up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, installation, testing and maintenance of carrier aircraft systems and components.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine and airframe systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs on aircraft.
• Inspect systems and structures to identify issues; resolve problems from pilot or crew reports.
• Execute line maintenance: preflight, postflight, launch and recovery; log maintenance in MDL.
• Operate power tools and equipment; follow AC 43-13 and manuals for installation methods.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other teams; adhere to safety and FOD control measures.
• Work in alignment with shift requirements and potential weekend work.
• Possess or pursue DoD security clearance requirements as needed.
