Job summary

American Airlines in Pittsburgh is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a Base Maintenance Team within the Integrated Operations Division. You will coach Crew Chiefs and mechanics, manage daily production and ensure procedures maximize efficiency and safety.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, an FAA A&P certificate, and the ability to obtain required security clearances. Leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required.
• Must pass FAA background checks and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example, coaches team members to success and builds trustworthy relationships.
• Manages daily production requirements through subordinates.
• Ensures procedures are followed for maximum efficiency, safety and compliance.
• Leads staff to maximize skills and coordinates with Maintenance Training for ongoing development.
• Conducts regular meetings to ensure communication and resolution of action items.
• Monitors manpower requirements and alignment with program scheduling and priorities.
• Maintains effective communication across Maintenance, Engineering and Facilities.
• Ensures team understands and achieves key performance metrics.
• Executes manpower deployment and shift production requirements.
