Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Patuxent River, MD, seeks a Senior Principal Airborne Systems Operator to conduct mission system and air vehicle ground and flight tests as a crewmember or observer. The role supports verification, production and future development, including NATOPS updates and technical reporting.

The successful candidate will hold a STEM degree with senior experience, active Top Secret clearance, E-2D NATOPS qualification, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience
• Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance in a timely manner
• Must have E-2D Weapons System Operator experience and NATOPS qualification
• Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as required
• Must be able to generate technical documents and use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related tools

Responsabilités

• Conduct E-2D Mission System and Air Vehicle ground and flight tests as aircrew or observer
• Write ground and flight test plans, procedures and test reports
• Attend Technical Interchange Meetings, Design Reviews and Flight Readiness Reviews
• Lead test conduct as Test Conductor and mentor other aircrew
• Coordinate training events and ensure safety and efficiency of testing
• Provide engineering feedback and write Discrepancy Reports for software/hardware issues
• Support NATOPS updates and travel to customer locations and shipboard assignments
