Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Lead Air Vehicle Engineer at the Costa Mesa HQ to lead the convergence of technical efforts for an advanced airborne platform. You will own aircraft configuration, composites, mechanisms, and structures, working closely with core disciplines to deliver end-to-end rotorcraft development and mission autonomy.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, high ownership, and collaboration, with opportunities for growth and leadership across projects and teams.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in aerospace/defense projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong grasp of aircraft design principles and flight test execution.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across aerospace disciplines.
• Lead design reviews and interface with vendors; define test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition projects to production.
• Support software/hardware demos with customers as needed.
• Provide input across aerodynamics, flight dynamics, GNC, aeroelasticity, and loads.
