Job summary

Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska, is seeking a Lead Aide for the Child Development Center on a part-time regular basis. The Lead Aide will support the Group Supervisor in planning and carrying out a developmental program and will assist in educating and caring for the children enrolled.

This role requires prior experience with children in a group setting and at least 6 months of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a group setting.
• 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move furniture.

Responsibilities

• Assist Group Supervisor in planning and carrying out developmental programs for children.
• Provide continuity of education and care when the Group Supervisor is absent.
• Cooperate with staff and SCC students in teaching and supervising children.
• Maintain classroom appearance and cleanliness.
• Meet the Child/Teacher ratio in assigned areas.
• Record progress and communicate with parents during conferences.
