Job summary

Pearson is hiring a senior AI platform engineer to lead production AI capabilities for learner intelligence, personalization, and knowledge graphs. You will drive Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG solutions, building scalable AI services and APIs that integrate with Pearson products.

You will mentor engineers, establish best practices for responsible AI, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to achieve measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production AI/ML experience with cloud-native apps and MLOps.
• Strong experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, or related AI solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and API/CI/CD practices.
• Experience designing scalable AI platforms and deployment architectures in AWS or similar clouds.
• Experience with containers, orchestration, IaC, and production-grade deployment.
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI or LangGraph tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI delivery lifecycle from prototyping to deployment.
• Design and deliver Generative AI and RAG solutions that impact products and business outcomes.
• Build reusable AI platform components, services, APIs, and workflows.
• Establish scalable MLOps and AIOps practices for reliability and observability.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Learning Science, and Data Science teams.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and balance quality, safety, latency, and cost.
