PowerSchool is modernizing its legacy reporting framework into a cloud-native, AI-augmented platform. The Lead Engineer will define architecture, drive design, and contribute hands-on development across Python, TypeScript, and SQL, leveraging AWS services to enable multi-tenant scalability and strong security.

You will mentor engineers, set development standards, and collaborate with Product, Data, QA, and Architecture teams to ensure alignment with business goals and technical strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with serverless cloud architectures (AWS/Azure).
• Expert-level Python and TypeScript proficiency.
• Experience with AI-driven code generation, metadata extraction, or workflow automation.
• Strong SQL background and data pipeline experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design for a new multi-tenant reporting platform on AWS serverless tech.
• Provide hands-on development using Python, TypeScript, SQL, and AWS services.
• Develop AI-driven pipelines to extract, translate, and validate business logic and report screens.
• Define coding standards, best practices, and development patterns across the team.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; conduct design and code reviews.
• Partner with Product, Data, QA, and Architecture to align tech and business goals.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies to optimize automation capabilities.
• Ensure platform scalability, security, and tenant isolation.
