Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. within the Chief Data and Analytics Office is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to be a core technical contributor. You will design, develop, and deliver trusted AI-powered products in a secure, scalable way across multiple business functions.

The role emphasizes leading AI-assisted engineering practices, compliance, and automated testing while building features with Bedrock, Foundry, or Vertex AI and collaborating with vendor teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and SDLC practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, and containerization.
• Ability to lead AI-assisted development initiatives.
• Strong security and compliant coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute AI-enabled software solutions and design new features.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review SDKs.
• Lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Use SDLC toolchain and AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Identify and automate remediation to improve reliability of AI features.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on model capabilities.
• Lead communities of practice for prompt engineering and SDK best practices.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
• Build and ship AI-powered features using Bedrock / Foundry / Vertex AI and integrations.
• Implement input/output safety and LLM usage logging/monitoring.
