Smart Caliber Technology is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for AI Platform Engineering. This 100% remote role targets the United States and is a 12-month contract.

You will help steer the development of scalable, cloud-native platforms that power AI experiences across our product portfolio, working on real-time data processing and intelligent automation. Your experience should include 8+ years in software development, leadership of distributed systems, and strong cloud proficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• 8+ years of programming with Python/Java/Go/C++.
• 5+ years leading design/architecture of large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms.
• Experience in real-time microservices, stream processing or large-scale analytics.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading teams.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI platform engineering and distributed systems.
• Oversee scalable, secure, observable cloud-native services for enterprise use.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver real-time analytics and AI features.
• Mentor engineers and guide architectural decisions.
