Faire is seeking a Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist to lead Compass, an agentic AI product that helps retailers make smarter buying decisions. You will own the science direction, improve agent quality through rigorous evaluation, and ship features end-to-end across the FLARE Python app, data plumbing, and frontend surfaces.

• >5+ years building and shipping production ML/AI systems with hands-on ownership of data, evaluation, modelling, quality.
• >Experience shipping agentic/LLM-powered features in core products with tradeoff awareness.
• >Strong applied ML foundations and aptitude to turn proprietary data into product capability.
• >Track record shipping across backend, data, and frontend stacks with quality.

Responsibilities

• >Own the science and technical north star for Compass’s agentic products and drive agent quality.
• >Ship retailer-assistant features end-to-end across Python apps, data plumbing, tool wrappers, and frontend surfaces.
• >Translate ambiguous bets into sequenced, de-risked tactical plans.
• >Set and raise the bar for eval- and experiment-driven development.
• >Make pragmatic engineering choices that ship now but evolve later.
• >Partner with engineers on architecture and cross-team collaboration.
