84.51° is hiring a Lead AI/ML Engineer to drive AI solutions across Kroger and 84.51 businesses. You will co-develop AI Agents, apply embeddings-based solutions, and leverage proprietary language models to enhance business processes.

The role requires 5+ years in data science with senior experience, strong Python, and the ability to mentor teammates in a highly collaborative setting. In-office work 5 days a week, Cincinnati area.

Formación

• Advanced degree in Data Science, ML, CS or related; 5+ years data science experience with 2+ years in a senior role.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, and AI Agents in a variety of Agent Harnesses.
• Strong programming in Python.
• Excellent communication; able to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High level of independence to develop and own toolkits, pipelines, and dashboards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Strong ability to quickly adapt to new business problems and technologies.
• Desire to lead project work and mentor junior members of the team.

Responsabilidades

• Co-develop AI solutions with business teams, including AI Agents.
• Mentor and lead junior team members.
• Upskill quickly on stakeholder domains and technologies.
• Identify and evaluate business use cases for AI.
• Design and execute rapid proofs of concept to demonstrate business value.
• Create cookbooks, trainings, and informal presentations to share learnings.
• Provide technical guidance for production implementations and troubleshoot integration challenges.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and business teams to ensure modular solutions.
• Stay up to date on Generative AI, Agents, and Embeddings spaces.
• Lead project work and mentor teammates.
