Job summary

EY seeks a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client in highly regulated industries. You will be the technical authority, balancing tradeoffs, and ensuring production-grade outcomes while embedded with the client on site as needed.

The role requires deep hands-on engineering, strong client presence, and the ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems, ideally with client-facing context.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks and agentic systems.
• Proven ability to lead forward-deployed, customer-facing roles owning outcomes end to end.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small technical team while remaining an IC.
• Strong stakeholder management and production readiness experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to translate business needs into technical solutions under constraints.
• Serve as primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on and dive deep into code, data, and client systems as needed.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with templates and profiles.
• Direct the cell’s engineers to ensure integrations and data readiness.
• Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints with governance.
