Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end‑to‑end delivery of AI‑native systems for a single client engagement in regulated industries. The role embeds with the client, remains hands‑on, and leads a small cell to deliver secure, production‑grade outcomes.

You will translate ambiguous business needs into technical solutions, manage tradeoffs, and maintain strong stakeholder trust across environments and teams. This is a hybrid, client‑facing role in the US.

Qualifications

• Must own end‑to‑end delivery and be accountable for business outcomes.
• Hands‑on engineering depth across integration‑heavy architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI‑enabled application stacks and orchestration frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead in forward‑deployed, customer‑facing roles while delivering outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, technical direction, and production readiness.
• Embed with the client to define real problems and translate needs into executable solutions.
• Serve as primary technical interface to client stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Stay hands‑on, designing and building critical parts of the solution as needed.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with release readiness in mind.
• Direct the work of the cell’s engineers to ensure coherent production‑grade outcomes.
• Ensure safety, integrity, and cost constraints, coordinating with control authorities.
