Job summary

EY is seeking a hands-on Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end AI-native system delivery for a single client in regulated industries. Embedded with the client, you’ll shape technical direction, manage tradeoffs, and deliver secure, production-grade solutions while maintaining strong stakeholder trust.

The role emphasizes deep coding, data, and cloud/system integration work, with oversight of a small cell of specialists and a focus on safe-to-ship outcomes in a hybrid client-facing

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems.
• Hands-on engineering across integration-heavy architectures and cloud platforms.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled stacks and LLM-backed services.
• Proven ability to lead small technical teams while remaining an individual contributor.
• Strong stakeholder management under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, technical direction, and production readiness.
• Embed directly with the client to define problems and translate needs into executable solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Stay hands-on, designing and building critical parts of the solution when needed.
• Deploy, adapt, and stabilize solutions in the client environment with released readiness.
• Direct the work of the cell’s Implementation Engineer and Data Engineer to deliver a production-grade outcome.
• Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints in regulated environments.
