Hybrid work is offered: 3 days onsite in Holmdel, NJ or NY. Salary range $120k–$180k base DOE, with 5+ years in AI development and leadership preferred.

Join a trailblazing team as a Lead AI Engineer, where you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of cutting‑edge AI solutions that drive enterprise transformation. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape the future of the client's AI landscape by architecting scalable, secure, and innovative AI systems utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and model orchestration frameworks.

Job Details:

Duration: Permanent FTE- Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $120-$180k base DOE
Location: Hybrid 3x a week onsite in Holmdel NJ or NY

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in machine learning engineering and AI system development
• Strong proficiency in Python and R programming languages
• Deep knowledge of large language models (LLMs) and RAG pipeline architectures
• Expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and model orchestration frameworks
• Ability to implement secure and compliant API solutions
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers

Nice to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with enterprise security, governance, and compliance standards
• Experience evaluating and integrating emerging AI technologies
• Prior mentoring or leadership experience in AI/ML teams

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Proven track record of 5+ years in AI development and engineering, with leadership responsibilities preferred
