Job summary

Kind Lending is seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent automation across the mortgage lifecycle. The role involves setting technical direction for AI-powered agents and orchestrating workflows across multi-cloud platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, and Azure.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and collaborate with business stakeholders to transform mortgage processes into seamless, AI-driven experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in AI application development, automation engineering, or full-stack cloud engineering, including prior technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of relevant AI/ML libraries (LangChain, Transformers, boto3/GCP/Azure SDKs).
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Familiarity with mortgage workflows or fintech automation is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents and workflows across the mortgage lifecycle.
• Architect cloud-based process flows using AI workflow tools and serverless technologies.
• Lead implementation of AI capabilities across multi-cloud environments (OpenAI, Anthropic, GCP, Azure).
• Perform data analysis to inform automation targets and agent design decisions.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and maintain engineering standards.
