Job summary

FM Talent Source is seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer for a full-time US contract role. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-enabled full-stack web applications on AWS, integrating workflow orchestration, relational databases, analytics, and accessible UI.

Collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and mission stakeholders, you will drive secure, scalable solutions while leveraging Generative AI-assisted coding tools and SAFe practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Six+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior/lead roles.
• Expert-level Java or Python backend development and strong ReactJS frontend experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of AI-enabled full-stack web apps on AWS.
• Develop and maintain frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers.
• Ensure accessible UI with 508 compliance and usability standards.
• Architect relational data models (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora) for transactional and analytical use cases.
• Implement and enforce DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling.
