Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation seeks a senior data science/ML engineer to lead strategic AI initiatives. You will architect and deploy production-ready ML models, collaborate with Data Engineering and DevOps to establish CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior scientists.

The role requires advanced ML expertise and strong communication with executives. The position is hybrid with in-office presence in Oshkosh, WI or New Hudson, MI and travel under 10%.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for modeling and data manipulation.
• Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud ecosystems, distributed compute, and AI safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision and deployment of predictive modeling and AI solutions.
• Architect and deploy production-grade ML models and applications.
• Establish coding, testing, and documentation standards for data science work.
• Partner with Data Engineering and DevOps to build CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows.
• Translate business challenges into data science initiatives with leadership alignment.
• Define the AI/analytics roadmap aligned to business goals and explain methodologies to executives.
• Champion data integrity and security in AI initiatives.
