Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – AI & Agentic Systems to design, build, and sustain AI-enabled solutions for enterprise customers. You will translate business needs into production-quality software, integrate models and tools, and shape scalable cloud architectures.

In this role you will lead technical decisions, mentor peers, and help establish engineering standards to accelerate reliable AI delivery across our platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in CS/SE.
• 7+ years of professional software development.
• Experience with modern application development languages (TypeScript/JavaScript/Python/C#/Java).
• Experience building production software and cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support AI-enabled solutions for real enterprise use cases.
• Translate product needs into working software delivering measurable value.
• Design and integrate models, agents, tools, workflows, APIs, and cloud services into reliable AI-enabled applications.
• Apply AI patterns like agents, tool-calling, MCP, A2A, and context engineering.
• Design scalable, secure, maintainable cloud-based solutions.
