Job summary

Carrier is seeking an Agentic AI Engineer Lead to direct the development, deployment, and scaling of AI agents and agentic workflows across engineering teams. You will define the AI strategy, set standards, and lead governance for enterprise AI initiatives.

Based onsite at Carrier facilities, you will mentor engineers, drive POC projects, and ensure measurable business impact while coordinating with hardware, software, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 7+ years of industrial AI/ML experience, or PhD with 5+ years.
• 3+ years of Agentic AI industry experience.
• Willing to travel up to 10% annually, including domestic and international trips.
• Willing and able to adjust working hours for early morning virtual meetings to support global teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI agents and agentic workflows that accelerate engineering processes and productivity.
• Define and execute the Agentic AI strategy, roadmap, standards, and best practices across Carrier Engineering.
• Architect AI-powered solutions using LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with software, systems, electrical, mechanical, and test engineering teams to identify and deliver AI solutions.
• Establish governance, security, evaluation, and responsible AI practices for enterprise AI deployments.
• Lead POC, pilots, and production deployments with measurable business impact.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership in AI agent development and deployment.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive adoption across engineering.
