Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with clients and convert ambiguous business problems into production agent solutions that automate workflows. You’ll conceptualize, build, evaluate, deploy, and sustain multi-agent systems, leading a small team to extend the practice.

You will work in Python using ADKs, ensure Responsible AI and governance, and drive measurable ROI across finance, procurement, onboarding, claims and compliance workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering fundamentals: idiomatic, typed, tested
• Hands-on agent building with at least one ADK
• Solid command of agent engineering: prompt/context, MCP, orchestration
• Eval-driven development: design evaluation harnesses and metrics
• Standards-based integration and DevSecOps: APIs, secure auth, CI/CD, observability
• Ability to conceptualize business problems as agents quickly
• Client-facing maturity: translate technical concepts to stakeholders, own outcomes
• Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize a business process as an agentic solution and prototype quickly
• Design and ship single-agent and multi-agent systems in Python using ADKs
• Drive delivery and operational efficiency with measurable ROI
• Engineer agent core: prompts, context graphs, memory, tool calls, MCP integration
• Integrate agents into client ecosystems with standard APIs and secure authentication
• Build reusable agent components, guardrails and templates for safe, repeatable behaviour
• Prototype and iteratively harden to production-grade Python
• Run eval-driven testing for correctness, safety and regression
• Own AgentOps/DevSecOps: CI/CD, telemetry, governance, security
