Job summary

Elastic seeks a Principal, Agentic Engineering Platform to lead a global services initiative. You will design, ship, and refine agentic systems, setting standards and guiding product strategy. The role covers building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and iterating automated workflows with a focus on security and reliability.

You will manage architectural plans, drive cross-team collaboration, and ensure outputs meet client deliverables with strong evidence and traceability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform or software engineering roles.
• Proven production deployment of agentic or LLM-powered apps.
• Experience with LLM orchestration and RAG architectures.
• Security-focused with access control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Establish the technical vision and architectural standards for services agentic systems.
• Manage platform roadmap and release schedule, overseeing stages from discovery to rollout.
• Develop multi-step workflows using LLM orchestration, tool integration, retrieval-augmented generation, and structured output processing.
• Guide AI-assisted development workflows with Claude Code and Codex, emphasizing testing and security reviews.
• Design robust architecture with operational boundaries, failure modes, and maintainability.
• Create evaluation frameworks for accuracy, reliability, response time, cost, and stability.
• Define quality benchmarks and system metrics for client deliverables.
