EchoStar is recruiting a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to drive autonomous multi-agent initiatives and productionize scalable AI services. You will mentor teams, define long-term AI strategy, and ensure secure, scalable architectures that align with business goals.

The role demands hands-on leadership, expertise in hybrid control flows, state machines, and integration protocols like MCP and A2A, with a track record of delivering live productions in cloud environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, data science, AI, or related field.
8+ years in software development with 3+ years in leadership and shipping LLM-powered systems.
At least 3 years on cloud foundation models and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

Mentor and lead AI engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation
Define long-term technical strategy for the AI roadmap, aligning engineering with business objectives
Conduct architectural reviews and set standards for code quality, scalability, and security
Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI services, state machines and graphs for multi-step reasoning
Implement MCP and A2A protocol integrations for agent-to-tool and agent-to-agent coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical agent specifications and production-ready architectures
