Job summary

Black Rocket Productions is seeking an energetic After School Technology Teacher to lead engaging, project-based sessions after school. You will guide students through coding, game design, video editing, and digital arts using our curriculum.

The role is part-time and hourly, with classes from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Experience with kids is helpful; training is provided, and opportunities exist for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
Must be available after school hours (approximately 3:00 - 5:00 PM), M-F
Lead Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and have experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both are even better!
Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required
Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 12:1
Strong technology skills such as 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game design or related areas; Minecraft/ Roblox knowledge incl. modding or streaming

Responsibilities

Lead instructors guide students through project-based curriculum to learn new technology skills.
Teach after-school programs focusing on coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design and more.
Manage classes with up to 12 students solo and 25 with an assistant in a classroom setting.
Ensure safety and transfer of equipment between sites as needed for various classes.
