Job summary

Wilmette Park District is seeking a part-time After School Rec Assistant Site Coordinator to ensure program quality and child safety in the ASR program. This leadership position requires effective communication and the ability to support staff in a team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old by the position start date.
• Prior experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is required.
• Leadership experience or demonstrated initiative in a team setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Coordinator in supervising ASR Counselors.
• Take lead in the Site Coordinator's absence.
• Assist in mentoring and guiding ASR Counselors.
• Help coordinate and lead daily activities.
• Monitor child-to-staff ratios and uphold safety standards.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of special events.
