Job summary

Intrepid Professional Group in Kansas City area is seeking a Property Manager to support our residential portfolio. The role focuses on occupancy, financial controls, and compliance with HUD programs.

You will review applications, manage rent collections in Yardi, coordinate with regional managers, and oversee inspections and resident communications. A strong background in LIHTC and Section 8 is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (Section-8, LIHTC).
• Experience with Yardi preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft products.
• General knowledge of compliance requirements for affordable housing.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve resident applications to maintain full occupancy.
• Maintain wait lists and oversee wait list processes.
• Weekly review of accounts receivable and monthly review of accounts payable.
• Prepare legal notices (7-Day Non-Payment, 30-Day Health and Safety).
• Process rent payments in Yardi and deposit into bank.
• Meet weekly with direct reports.
• Enter invoices according to Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Procure bids for annual contracts and capital projects.
• Prepare 504 requests.
• Perform all Yardi tasks as outlined in Policy and Procedure manual.
• Complete all resident recertifications (HUD, LIHTC, RD, LIHTC).
• Maintain resident files.
• Conduct property and common area inspections at least weekly.
• Conduct move-in inspections on vacant apartments.
• Prepare and ensure delivery of all resident communications.
• Address all resident complaints.
• Manage property within approved budget.
• Special projects as requested.
