Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced leader to manage throughput and personnel of specialized welding and forming manufacturing operations. You will oversee a team of technicians and welders handling aluminum and special alloy welding to ensure top quality and safe, efficient production.

You will drive productivity, ensure crane safety, read engineering drawings, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production planning to meet schedules while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing with welding or metal forming focus.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of welding processes (TIG, aluminum, special alloys) and crane safety.
• Familiarity with ISO, AS9100, D17.1 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily welding and forming operations.
• Mentor and develop technicians and operators.
• Ensure quality standards and production schedules are met.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting.
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and planning teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage inventory of materials and consumables.
• Participate in new product development and process qualification.
