Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Fabrication Operations Shift Leader to supervise fabrication teams across machining, welding and assembly on assigned shifts. You will ensure safety protocols, maintain quality standards, and hit production targets while driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

This role requires 5+ years in aerospace fabrication and 3+ years of supervision, with the ability to read engineering drawings, troubleshoot issues, and mentor technicians.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience in aerospace or related industries.
• 3+ years of direct supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, including machining, welding and assembly.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and quality standards on shift operations.
• Lead, motivate and coordinate a team of fabrication technicians during assigned shift.
• Monitor daily fabrication operations to meet production targets.
• Oversee machining, welding and assembly processes.
• Conduct shift handovers and document production records.
