Job summary

RTX is seeking a future technical leader for the Electric Power Systems group in Rockford, IL. The role focuses on guiding development of aerospace communication interfaces and data bus architectures with a strong emphasis on leadership, schedule drives, and budget accountability.

You will mentor engineers, drive Agile execution, and create multi-year roadmaps across hardware, software, and test domains while collaborating with leadership to deliver on critical programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with minimum 5 years of experience; an Advanced Degree is acceptable with minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and developing multi-year roadmaps is highly desirable.
• Strong budget tracking and Agile planning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across systems, hardware, software, and test engineering for power distribution interfaces.
• Own interface I/O and communications architecture strategy; influence long-term design approaches.
• Decompose system requirements into hardware, software, and test tasks and manage schedules and staffing.
