Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Aero/Flight Sciences Engineer IV to work on unmanned aircraft development, aerodynamic design, analysis, and testing for next-generation unmanned aerial systems.

You will lead engineering activities, mentor junior engineers, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with suppliers and customers, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 11+ years related experience in aerospace engineering.
• Lead engineer experience in aerospace 6+ years.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual and Preliminary aircraft design.
• OML definition including surface shaping and sizing.
• Air vehicle performance analysis and weight/balance.
• Engine inlet/exhaust design and performance analysis.
• Develop and document aerodynamic databases and CFD analyses.
• Flight test planning, execution, and analysis.
