Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to size and layout unmanned aircraft structures and related equipment.

You will perform detailed analysis, FEM/thermal work, and weight optimization for composite airframes, under supervision or lead guidance as the project requires. The role involves preparing engineering documents, supporting design reviews with suppliers and customers, and assisting flight testing and data reduction.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred).
• May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. Citizenship).
• 3+ years related experience in structural analysis or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses related to aircraft hardware design and assemblies to meet performance requirements.
• Prepare formal engineering documentation (drawings, specifications, parts lists, interfaces, test procedures).
• Present design review material for technical interchange with suppliers and customers.
• Support flight testing, data reduction, analysis and reporting; assist troubleshooting as needed.
• Travel 0–10% and maintain safety and QA procedures.
