Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking an Advanced Reactor Shift Supervisor for the Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) to support the Pele Mobile Nuclear Power Plant demonstration and related reactor projects. The role involves supervising operations, adhering to procedures, and coordinating with safety and emergency teams in a high-stakes nuclear environment.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years in nuclear/industrial settings or a combination of 9 years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of proven experience in a nuclear, industrial, commercial environment.
• A min of 5 years in a group lead or supervisor position is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and technical supervision to facility personnel.
• Ensure work activities comply with approved procedures and work control.
• Act as Building Emergency Director (BED) during emergencies.
• Coordinate with Emergency Action Manager (EAM) for drills or real events.
• Provide direction to operations supervisor for safe completion of scheduled work.
• Suggest qualification programs where missing and maintain facility safety basis.
• Implement management model functions (organizing, planning, staffing, leading, assessing, improving).
